Pre-Purchase Survey: This is the most comprehensive type of inspection, and is strongly advised when purchasing a new or used vessel. Condition and overall operation of the vessel should be examined. This covers structural integrity, electrical systems, the propulsion system, the fuel system, other machinery, navigation equipment, miscellaneous on-board systems, cosmetic appearance, electronics, and overall maintenance as well as an out-of-water inspection and a sea trial.

Condition & Valuation Survey: This is performed so that insurance companies and banks can determine whether or not the vessel is an acceptable risk. They are interested in structural integrity and safety for its intended use. Most insurance and finance companies require a survey on older boats. They will also want the vessel's overall condition and fair market value.

Damage Survey: This type of survey is typically requested by the insurance company or owner of the vessel to determine the nature, cause and extent of damage after an accident that may include a collision, boat fire or storm damage. Yandt Boat Works will work for the insured and underwriter to recommend repairs, estimate and negotiate a fair repair cost and keep communication open between the repair yard, boat owner, third parties and insurance agent(s).

Appraisal Survey: A survey to determine the value of your vessel using industry tools not available to the general public. This type of survey is needed for financing, donations to various charities as well as estate valuations and legal settlements.

Pre-Sale Survey: This type of survey is becoming more common. We will itemize a list of items to repair and or replace, to optimize the sale of your vessel, while being able to address all known issues.
